Anders had U wel &#8216; hotel in centrum Ubud &#8216; ingegeven. Dat lijkt me logisch. Wel, Tina is ook een natuurliefhebster en vrij geobsedeerd door de ijsvogel, nadat ze er een glimp van had opgevangen aan de overkant van het rijstveld. Ze was dan ook erg enthousiast toen ze me onderstaande foto kon tonen.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; border: 0pt none;\" title=\"javanese kingfisher\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sabandari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/kingfisher_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"Javaanse IJsvogel gespot vanuit hotel in rijstvelden Ubud\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>De Javaanse IJsvogel of \u2018Halcyon cyanoventris\u2019 werd door Tina gespot in <strong>het rijstveld<\/strong> waarop ze, vanuit haar kamer, uitkijkt. Veel ijs is er niet te vinden op <strong>Bali,<\/strong> daarom vind ik de Engelse benaming \u2018Javanese Kingfisher\u2019 iets duidelijker.<\/p>\n<p>Barry Wobbes beschrijft dit diertje in zijn blog met de, voor Vlamingen, wat misleidende titel &#8216;<strong>Vogelen op Bali (1997)<\/strong>&#8216; als volgt:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c \u2026 Ook de spectaculaire 25 cm grote Javaanse ijsvogel (Halcyon cyanoventris) met rode snavel, hemelsblauwe staart en handpennen, paarse rug en roodbruine kop en borst kon nog een plekje vinden in de rijstvelden.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Interesse in een een &#8216;Bird Walk&#8217;?<\/p>\n<p>Hierna een korte beschrijving overgenomen uit de website van <a href=\"http:\/\/www.balibirdwalk.com\/walks.html\" target=\"_blank\">Bali Bird Walks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Where ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the country-side that surrounds Ubud situated at the very heart of Bali, you will be conducted on a variety of trails according to the cycle of the seasons<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. When ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We meet on : Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings at the sign of the Bali Bird Walks or Murni\u2019s Warung (see map).<br \/>\nTime 09.00 am<br \/>\nFollowing a brief introductory talk, we set off on our walk, returning for Lunch \u2013 12.30 pm<br \/>\nto leisurely take our fill and recapitulate the morning\u2019s discoveries<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. \u201cWhat Will I See\u201d \u2013 Full List of Sightings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Birds over 100 species are found around Ubud, of which you are bound to see 30 or so, including Indonesian endemics such as: Java Kingfisher, Bar-winged Prinia, Black-winged Starling, Scarlet-headed Flowerpecker, Java Sparrow, and many brilliant birds.<br \/>\nYou will also have occasion to see: Birdwing and Swallowtail other Butterflies, different types of Rice Cultivation, rustic temples and monuments, magnificent trees, stunning scenery, wildflowers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.
