Zij werkt nu in een lokaal restaurantje en onze tuinman in spe in een supermarkt.<br \/>\nZe gaven allebei een goede indruk en op deze manier wordt het huis tijdens onze afwezigheid onderhouden.<br \/>\nNa het sollicitatiegesprek volgde een vergadering met Joost, de architect, met vooral <strong>aandacht voor de spa die we een klassiek Balinees uitzicht willen geven.<\/strong><br \/>\nDat betekent dus een alang-alang (gras) dak, een typisch gebeeldhouwde Balinese deur, natuursteen in de veranda en bankyrai parket in de behandelruimtes.<br \/>\nEr komen doorkijkjes naar, wat Joost &#8216;waterfeatures&#8217; noemt.<br \/>\nVerder <strong>een buitendouche en een rotsbad in open lucht<\/strong> en veel tropische planten.<br \/>\nDe behandeltafels en het andere meubilair zullen we op maat laten maken, aangepast aan de wensen van onze beautician.<br \/>\nSaar dus.<br \/>\nJoost ging verder nieuwe schetsen maken voor de tweede slaapkamerunit van ons hotelletje in Ubud en ook van ons huis.<br \/>\nRudy stuurde zijn mensen erop uit om wat eetbaars te halen<strong> in de warung<\/strong> (lokaal restaurant) iets verder terug in Jalan Gunung Sari (onze straat).<br \/>\nIn afwachting brachten we een bezoek aan zijn bouwproject op het aangrenzende perceel.<br \/>\n<strong>Het uitzicht over het rijstveld is, zeker vanop de verdieping, spectaculair.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5249814305779382898\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; border: 0pt none;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sabandari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/duvel.jpg\" alt=\"Dog getting shower at Bali Rice Field Accommodation\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" border=\"0\" \/>De lunch kostte omgerekend 6 euro. Het was <strong>Nasi Campur<\/strong>, zeg maar een mini rijsttafel, voor drie personen.<br \/>\nAls je leeft zoals de lokale bevolking hoeft alles hier echt niet duur te zijn.<br \/>\nSaar vroeg wat er tijdens Rudy&#8217;s vakantie zou gebeuren met Duvel, de hond. Daar was nog geen oplossing voor en Saar, of all people, stelde voor dat Duvel wel bij ons mocht blijven wonen tijdens de vakantie van zijn baasje. Naast personeel hebben we dus ook al een huisdier.<br \/>\nNa de lunch ging het weer richting Sanur.<br \/>\nDe auto die we voor de heen- en terugreis hadden geboekt stond ons voor de deur op te wachten.<br \/>\nDe chauffeur bleek lekker geslapen te hebben tijdens onze afwezigheid.<br \/>\nNa een paar honderd meter, bij de rivier, zagen we een aantal mannen in de weer met drie speenvarkentjes die ze kennelijk net hadden geslacht. <strong>Babi Guling, speenvarkentje aan het spit is \u00e9\u00e9n van de specialiteiten van de streek.<\/strong><br \/>\nSaar vond het zielig.<br \/>\n&#8220;Zielig voor het varkentje maar de mensen moeten ook eten&#8221; was het nuchtere commentaar van de chauffeur.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>  [&#8230;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":6196,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[147],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-28","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-projectgeschiedenis"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.8 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Creatie van ons hotelletje in Ubud op Bali.<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Blogpost over de creatie van ons hotelletje in Ubud.
